Sandwiches Rescued In 2-Vehicle Crash

HOUSTON -- Several sandwiches escaped harm when they were involved in a two-vehicle crash on Friday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston police said an Antone's sandwich truck rear-ended a car on the Northwest Freeway near Gessner Drive at about 3:15 a.m.

Officials said a woman stopped her vehicle in a moving lane of the freeway when she thought she had a flat tire. The sandwich truck ended up slamming into the back of her car.

Several po-boys in the sandwich truck flew around inside. A tow truck driver and the sandwich truck driver were able to salvage all of the sandwiches.

Police said the woman's car did not have a flat tire before the crash. She was ticketed for causing the accident and stopping in a moving lane. 
No one was seriously injured.

I just love that the last line of the story was that no one was injured. Apparently it was more important that the sandwiches weren't injured.
